ADA Australia's one-day Induction Day or Apprenticeship Day is to provide new workers and/or young workers with information, insight and awareness around alcohol, drugs, gambling, mental disorder and other challenges that may confront them, both at work, and outside of work.

- Obligations and responsibilities under a workplace Drug and Alcohol Policy
- Impacts of drug and alcohol misuse on the health and safety of co-workers and on Australian workplaces
- Drug and alcohol detection times, limits and implications
- The impacts of psychoactive substances on the body, on judgment and co-ordination and broader health impacts
- The risks and impacts of gambling, the paths to problem gambling, impacts on financial security and personal goals
- The chemistry of addiction (and why no-one is immune)
- Violence, coercion, control from a legal perspective and a relational one
- Awareness around respect and unreasonable behaviours at work, of being mindful of the rights of others, of the right to feel safe always
