Accredited Standard MHFA Refresher
ADA Australia delivers the 3-yearly Refresher training required by Mental Health First Aid International to update your knowledge, build on the skills you acquired in your original MHFA course, and extend your MHFAider accreditation for another 3 years. Refresher courses are available to anyone who has completed an MHFA training course (face-to-face, blended or online) within the last 3 years.

To attend a Refresher you must have completed a full 2-day MHFA course (face-to-face, blended or online) within the last 3 years AND completed the original MHFAider accreditation assessment. The Refresher includes a short online assessment that, on successful completion, extends your MHFAider accreditation by another 3 years.

A single session, typically 4 hours, delivered face-to-face. Significantly shorter than the full two-day MHFA course since it builds on existing accreditation.
Before your current three-year accreditation expires. Once expired, you would need to complete the full two-day MHFA course again, so booking the Refresher in time matters.

Yes. On successful completion of the Refresher and assessment, you receive a renewed Certificate of Accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider, valid for a further three years.
