About Suicide Prevention Training

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about Suicide Prevention Training. Need something else? Get in touch.

How to recognise warning signs of suicidal thoughts, how to ask the direct question safely, how to keep a person safe and connect them to professional help, and how to look after yourself as a supporter. The framing is practical and action-focused, not academic.

It can be, and we're upfront about that. Trainers are experienced at managing the emotional load of the topic, the room is held with care, and clear support pathways are provided to participants throughout and after the session.

Any team that wants to be able to act, not just observe, when a colleague is in distress. Particularly relevant in high-stress industries (emergency services, healthcare, construction) and for HR, mental-health champions, and leaders.

2–3 hours, delivered face-to-face on-site or via live online webinar. Sessions include the direct-question practice the topic calls for.

Trainers brief the room on how to step out if needed, signpost crisis services (Lifeline 13 11 14, Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636), and where appropriate, follow up privately with anyone who indicates they may need support after the session.
